On 19 April 1984, Al pitched a consecutive no-hitters which was followed by a 32-strikeout game in 13 innings, of which he did not win during a stretch in his high school. In 1996 May 11, he also pitched no-hitter when he was playing against the Colorado Rockies, which was recorded as the first no-hitter in Marlins Franchise history.
